Chairman's Message

Seven decades ago My Late Father Mr. Mohammed Sharif Al Baidheai incepted a stevedoring company to facilitate the Loading and Unloading of goods from Ships that was anchored in the Arabian Gulf. This was the beginning of the proud history of our Company.

Inspired by my Father’s vision to contribute actively to the Development of Dubai and United Arab Emirates, I continued the Journey that was started by him in 1935. Over a period of seven decades ARMS Group has evolved from a Labor Supplier to a Highly Diversified Group of Companies. The growth of our organization from Stevedoring to a highly diversified Conglomerate with over 12 companies under ARMS Umbrella was a phenomenal Achievement. We as a Group Withstood Economic Turmoils, Wars in the region, Political Unrest in the Arabian Gulf successfully over the years.

We have diversified in to many growth sectors in the economy such as Automotive Distribution, Household Appliances, Motor Vehicle Spare Parts and Accessories. During the period of eighties and early nineties with major political upheavals’ and regime changes occurring in the Arabian Gulf, it became imperative to change our business model to survive and grow.

We as a group decided to suspend some of our operations and move in to new growth sectors. Real Estate Development and Property Management was one of the sectors that we moved in to during the Property Boom. In the recent past we ventured in to new sectors such as Auctioneering, which was a pioneering and Novelty concept where we named “Pioneer Auctions organizing” which has set new standards in the Gulf Region with luxurious facilities and State of the art Technology. I firmly believe there is no other Auction House that can match our Facilities, Technology, Quality of Service and Professionalism of our highly trained staff.

Another area we moved in to was Information Technology, Enterprise Solutions sector with the launch of Al TAQNYAH. The Bakery Products sector with Al Jana Bakery in Qatar. Both these firms became part of ARMS family in 2008 together with Pioneer Auctions.

With more than 75 years of cooperate citizenship behind us, a strong commitment to society and environment has been inherent at ARMS Group throughout our existence. We have imbued the value of “Doing the right thing always” by ensuring that through our actions we demonstrate our commitment and respect for all our stakeholders including the communities and the environment in which our businesses operate.

Our biggest asset is the employees of our Group. Our People Vision of being a “More than Just a Work Place” for more than 7000 employees in the Group is build upon three pillars. Inspired people, caring for people and Leadership.
